Best Friends is leading the no-kill movement by running lifesaving community programs for dogs and cats, providing support and training for animal shelters and rescue groups, and mobilizing community members on behalf of pets in need across the country.

When we started the study, we weren’t too sure what to expect. Most of the team was optimistic and open minded – we had few holdouts, those same folks tend to be reluctant to anything new, so we were surprised!

It didn’t take too long before we started seeing results and to a person, we were pleasantly surprised to see those initial improvements were with the cat population. This was not something any of us expected. We started to see shy cats become more confident, easily overstimulated and easily over aroused cats become more relaxed and accepting of interaction. It took a bit longer for us to see results with the dogs, when we did, we observed the same result.

Fast forward a few months as we were preparing for the merging of our two locations, we leveraged the resources of the VetCBD to ease the animal’s stress related to the move. Once again, it was so helpful – many of the animals in care acclimated to their new surroundings smoothly and easily.
